For lack of an Oxford comma

I received an email from a friend yesterday. He neglected to use the Oxford comma.

I won’t embarrass him by repeating the offending sentence here. But it struck me that neglect of the Oxford comma is serious enough to mention it on this website. It could, indeed, cost the offender serious sums of money. Besides, who can believe, without pausing for a moment in contemplation, that highlights of a Peter Ustinov global tour included “encounters with Nelson Mandela, an 800-year old demigod and a dildo collector”?  More here: http://bit.ly/2nItCCl

  1. Very funny, and so true. I prefer the Oxford comma.

  2. Thank you, Louise. Very much appreciated.

  3. Delightful. How very true. The comma can be dangerous.

I haven’t read your crime thrillers, by the way, but I loved your short stories. I reviewed them on Barnes and Noble at http://bit.ly/2CeoFfN
